Anusha Soni is a prominent legal expert and journalist formerly associated with CNN News18. Her background includes working for major Indian media outlets like India Today and Business Standard. She is known for covering critical legal and political issues, particularly those related to the judiciary for more than a decade. Soni’s work often emphasizes the legal and ethical dimensions of key events in Indian democracy, contributing significantly to public discourse on judicial matters and policy.

She has extensively covered the Supreme Court of India, High Courts across the country and has been a commentator on key legislative, legal and policy issues. Apart from extensively writing, she has anchored prime time shows for Network 18, ideated special shows and programmes for legal news and information dissemination. 

Soni completed her law from the University of London and also holds a Masters’ degree from the University of Amsterdam in Anthropology and Social Sciences. She has been a scholarship holder under the Erasmus Mundus programme receiving a fully funded scholarship for her Masters’ degree.
